 All ATAPI-compliant DVD drives work, even with ide-scsi

 SCSI drives also work
 Can use sg if kernel doesn't support the ioctls
 2.2 only works for IDE
 Can use ide-scsi/sg if you're hardcore

 DVDs have both an iso9660 and a UDF filesystem

 Modern kernels just use iso9660

 We use software UDF parsers for convenience

 Sector size is 2048 bytes
